Skywalker is a messy end of the Star Wars saga, err! Fan Service rise. It is unquestionably fun and often funny, but its bright moments are accompanied by a superficial feeling. In fact, the story started in The Force Awakens and developed in The Last Jedi doesn’t seem like a finish. This reviewer can not say that they did not have a nice time with this film, but Skywalker’s Rise prefers to be fun to perform, with short experiences to the audience and turns predictable to anyone with knowledge of the franchise.

The news that Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) “any way,” has come back is heard with the resistance grouping together. His intentions are to expand what the First Order began with a fleet from his dark residence on planet Exogul, so that nothing will deter them. Finn (John Boyega), the heroes of resistance (Daisy Ridley), the Heroes of resistance (Oscar Isaac) and the Heroes of resistance (Joonas Suotamo), have to compete to find a song-finding device to take them towards Exogul to end Palpatina once in a while.

Emperor Palpatine is back in the room with the sithlord! Again played with Ian McDiarmid’s incredible malice, Palpatine takes on the role of the great villain of this movie. This is both a good and a devastating surprise. Kylo Ren is eventually defeated by Adam Driver.

Kylo Ren is a afraid child in The Force Awakingens, hailed by Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) and caught in a cage of his own family legacy. Kylo renounces the past in The Last Jedi and frees himself. The argument that Kylo’s allegiance to the dark side was linked to Snoke and freeing him could contribute to his salvation was important to the moral center of the Last Jedi. Instead, once liberated, it goes further down the path of obscurity than we might have expected–Rey begs, “Please don’t go that way.” The Rise of Skywalker expects Kylo Ren, who established this way through the last two films, to finally realize his role as this trilogy’s main villain.this sadly is not quit the place

The Rise of Skywalker places Kylo Ren again in the position of a marionette by reintroducing Palpatine. However if more is discovered in the film as it progresses, the initial direction of the character of Kylo (as defined in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi) is no longer there. It is a shame, since the unchanged performance of Adam Driver in The Last Jedi reveals the horrors that should come as soon as he takes the mantle of “Supreme Leader”

Yet in The Rise of Skywalker, I can not bear to dislike Palpatine’s return. McDiarmid’s makeup is more appalling to date than any Emperor’s appearance. The rustle of the iconic vocal provision of McDiarmid is sunk into your head, with the words in the air. Equally excellent is the design of the production accompanying Palpatine. Its throne and its peak form create a striking silhouette and inspired by the mechanical apparatus with the fragile form of Palpatine.

Palpatine’s return is immediately met with narrative discomfort but visual splendor. Yet Palpatine returns as the great villain ignores all the needs to develop a new challenge–let alone Kylo Ren. I refuse to use this word “lazy writing” We have six Star Wars (and the Clone Wars series of Star Wars), which showed us why we had to fear Palpatine. Using one of our previously ready hate / fear, the Rise of Skywalker bypasses the narrational time needed to develop a new character.

With respect to Palpatine, it is worth noting that there is a lack of imagination when it is revealed that Rey, truly, is his granddaughter. It’s misleading, but perhaps not shocking, at the end. It was revealed that Rey’s family were no one, one of The Last Jedi’s strongest components. This discovery was meaningful; it was resonant and optimistic that anybody could become a Jedi or use the Force without a family connection. The Rise of Skywalker brings it into line with the familiarity of the franchise. Fan theory from the compelling to the ridiculous compounded the Web between the movies, speculating about Rey’s descent towards the Palpatine eventually happened.
